100 Burpee Challenge - Day 4
Day 4 - 6:54
Day 3 - 7:32
Day2 - 8:24
Day 1 - 8:43
This is Kathy's story of her burpee challenge. However, its more than just a burpee challenge. She is living through a story that will empower a lot of people in the future. She has already made so many gains. Unless you are here to see her hard work ethic at Canyon, you will not understand what it takes to actually make a difference. I am inspired because Kathy has only been doing this for a couple of months. If I had a couple of months in my training belt, I would not even think about doing this. She is proving to everyone that it is possible to challenge yourself. It is more than just 100 burpees a day. It is about building confidence, self esteem, character and ambition. If she keeps it up (and I know she will), she is going to take her gains to a whole new level. This is the same experience I went through, and a lot of other people went through as well at Canyon.
Thank You to the Canyon Community for being so motivating for each other. Without our camaraderie, we are just like every other typical gym.
I am really doubting if I can continue to beat my time. I have noticed a pace of 20 burpees a minute for 2 and a half minutes, then I gradually slow down. So if I keep a pace of 20 a minute, that takes me down to 5:00 flat. We shall see, I have noticed my nutrition needs to be dialed in as well as a lot of mobility and stretching.
My WOD:
A.Front Squat @ 30x1, rest 60 seconds (Work technically on front squat and do not exceed 75% of 1RM. Do not come forward out of the bottom in any reps.)
3-3-3-3-3 (185-195-205-215-225)
B. As many sets in 10 minutes:
12 Unbroken Pull Ups
6 Power Cleans @ 135#
Result: 4 Sets + 9 Pull Ups
