New website coming up for Canyon CrossFit!
I have written a little something for the trainers page:
Andrew Garcia,
I am 23 years old and I am grateful for my valuable experience in CrossFit training. I have added years back into my life. I grew up living an unhealthy lifestyle. I lived with a family of six, all of us overweight. We were all blind to see what would end up being a terrible misfortune. My father, morbidly obese with numerous health issues, passed away. It was a rude awakening. I opened up my eyes and learned that I was on the same road as my father. It was time for me to change.
Still to this day, I feel that I was Canyon CrossFit’s least fit client when I started training. I was not capable to run down the block, hold up my own weight or lift anything at all. Rick and Ray were always apprehensive with me working out. I was experiencing complete misery, but it was something I put myself through everyday for a couple of minutes knowing that in the future, I will have lifetime results.
Three years have passed and throughout my experience I have lost over 100 pounds and regained my life.
I could not have done it with out the motivation from the community. I am thankful for them. My gains are immense. I continue to make gains and continue to be someone I have never imagined I can possibly be. I am reaching a level of fitness that will redefine conventional wisdom’s perception of fitness. Now I want to give back and reach to people’s lives.
Years before, I stared at my future with blank eyes. Now, I have a clear picture of what the CrossFit movement has done to so many people and I understand what works and what does not work. I am ambitious for the movement, for the wellness of others, and for myself. I have the will to do whatever is necessary to make good on the ambition for that cost.
Lots of good things coming ahead for Canyon CrossFit. It has grown so fast!
