Our Concept Once Deemed To Be Ineffective

CrossFit is hard to define but easy to recognize.

"Constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity."

"To increase work capacity across broad time and modal domains."

Take a look at these videos and see for yourself what looks like the best way to achieve functional fitness:

It's hilarious how much CrossFit is forbidden in a lot of "Globo" gyms. (24 Hour Fitness)

Dangerous? Really? I have been thinking and I looked back at my recent WODs. I am realizing how much more of an athlete I have become. It has almost been two years since I started CrossFit, and in these two years I have learned so much not only about fitness, but about life. I have learned ways to attack my goals effectively, ways to become more sociable, ways of eating and treating my body right.

What I have learned most is how often I see that our training methodologies are not popular at all in the "real world," and that is sad to see, however; the CrossFit movement is growing and the word is getting out there. Our concept once deemed to be ineffective will soon be acknowledged, and one day I hope to see that it's not about how our body looks that is most important, but how well we perform with our body.

One day...

Until then, I encourage all of you to switch to these frowned upon solutions:

  • CrossFit
  • Barefoot Running
  • High Dose Fish Oil
  • Paleo Eating
  • Zone Living
  • Burpees
