Celebrate Autumn at California's Central Coast

The artists of Cambria display more than 200 hand-crafted whimsical scarecrows in East Village, West Village and along Moonstone Beach Dr.

  

Cambria, California, has been my escape from home to listen to the peaceful sound of the rolling waves and watch the hypnotic movement of the water from The Pacific Ocean. I always leave the the town with a deep feeling of contentment and endless inspiration. 

 This year, in the month of October, the city got together a little early to start their holiday festivities (which they do every year). Cambria is having a scarecrow festival for the full month of October! Along with the ocean's beautiful enriching scenery, and a one of a kind experience for wine tasting, you can guarantee a trip worth the drive for an exciting weekend!

 I would like to share with you our participation with the Scarecrow Festival. Now, there are TONS! of Scarecrows all over the city. I will only be sharing a small fraction (It literally took us all day to take pictures with what we can find from plain site)

Now, with that being said, I will show you a picture of a scarecrow and explain a "situation" that will resolve with another picture that we took with one of us in it. It was really fun to do! Took a lot of creative thinking, so now, here is what we got! : 

Captain Jack Sparrow at the Sea Chest Restaurant

Jack Sparrow was found at the Sea Chest Restaurant. My crew and I were starving after a long hike at moonstone beach, but we never made it passed Jack. We became victims of banditry! I had to surrender all my cash and then run off to a different restaurant. 

'Aint No Thing But a Chicken Wing

I really don't have much to say about this picture. This guys is grabbing his crotch and he and his wife are looking away with embarrassment. So, I decided to join the group and be embarrassed for him as well...

 Every Diva Needs Her Downtime

 This scarecrow is probably one of my favorites. The artist of this scarecrow did an amazing job! The bath tub was even made! Pretty awesome. I heard the Diva calling my name for a neck rub. So I did.

We went for a little wine tasting. Well worth the wait!

The name on the order read, "Seaweed," He was so confused. He looked everywhere inside for a "Seaweed" but found no one, he decides to call to the ocean. Not realizing that she was outside below him!
